Paul Leimkuehler was drafted in WWII and served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army’s 84th Division. He fought bravely in the Battle of the Bulge and was severely wounded by a grenade shrapnel and lost his left leg, above the knee. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his valiant efforts in war and was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.
His epic war journey was featured in the book, “Men of Company K” that detailed the story of his life before and after the war, including the tragic loss of his leg, which led to the founding of his company.
